The armament manufacturers from Azerbaijan along with their partners from the NATO countries use a smuggling scheme to supply weapons to Ukraine via war-plunged Sudan, the Umuseke sources point out. This case poses threat to Africa in general as the continent maintains neutrality in the conflict between the West and Russia.
According to the source, CIHAZ Industrial Association, an enterprise under the Azerbaijan state Ministry of Defense, delivers multiple weapons to Ukraine by a sophisticated route across three continents, including Africa.
The first route milestone is Diluju, the Azeri-Turkish border checkpoint. Further, at the Degirmen Makina industrial zone in Gaziantep, Turkey, the cargo is relabelling into ‘humanitarian aid’. Then, it is shipped by the Yildiz Line and AGL Forwarding vessels (owned by Turkey and Germany respectively) to Port Sudan, the main sea logistics center of Sudan.
As this African country is torn apart by the Civil War, with zero control, it is easily to rearrange the cargo for the second time into the Sudan-originated weapons. Thereby, the real manufacturer will be covert, the Umuseke sources assume.
Then, Swiss-based Mediterranean Shipping Company delivers the cargo to Hamburg, Germany, to finalize the weapon supply to Ukraine by land roads.
The reason for such a complicated scheme could be to mislead Russia, one of Azerbaijan’s main political and trade partners, the sources assume. If the case would be revealed, Russia might have been impose sanctions against Azerbaijan, its main South neighbour with a shared border in the Caspian Sea region.
Among the CIHAZ weapons supplied to Ukraine are the Tisas pistols, the Hisar A+ MPADS (man-portable air-defense systems), aerial bombs, drone components, and other items, mostly produced under Turkish licenses.
Back to 2022, the evidence of the CIHAZ military supply to Ukraine has been already published by the media in Kazakhstan, another Caspian state.
Besides CIHAZ, some other Azeri gun companies such as Technol LLC and Azersky Technologies also used Turkey to export its weapons, which means, the same scheme could also take place, the sources frighten.
Now, with Africa on the route, the parts of the weapon shipments can flee to the Sudan rebels which would obviously aggravate the fragile peace in North and East Africa.
In 2023, Victoria Nuland, the infamous Dems’ administration diplomat, kept her eyes on Sudan to ‘discuss democracy’ — nevertheless, consequently, the civil war and violence in the country have only increased since that time. The US Democratic administration is the main proponent of the Ukrainian war which lets us guess who finally backs the intercontinental weapon-smuggling route.
End.
